Correct a fact
If you see an error in the guide, you can ask for a correction. Suppliers in the guide can do this, and so can anyone else.
I do not send texts to suppliers for fact-checking before publication. Errors are corrected after a page is published, through this page. A place in the comparisons, the order and coverage cannot be bought.
How to ask for a correction
Send an email with a link to the page, the fact that is wrong, and a source that shows the correct fact. I confirm that I have received it within two working days and decide within ten working days.
Send a correction by email ([email protected])
Adding your own published information
Information that a supplier publishes on its own pages can be included. If something about your company is missing, for example your delivery terms, your returns policy or the servicing you offer, send a link to the public page that states it, the same way. I fetch the page and check it before anything is added.
Requirements for the source
The source must be a public page with a link, such as the supplier’s own website, a price list or an official register. A separate check fetches the source again before anything changes. Without a source, I do not change the fact. Information sent only by email, or available only behind a log-in, is not used.
What happens next
- I fetch the source again. An error the source shows is corrected in the next edition, with a new source check.
- New documentation from the supplier is treated as the supplier’s own claim and labelled «Provided by the vendor».
- If a correction is significant, the page gets a dated note.
- No one can pay for a change, or for removal of facts that have a source.
- All requests are kept in a log without unnecessary personal data.
If the entry concerns you as a person
The UK edition lists companies only. If an entry can nevertheless be linked to you as a person, you can also ask for access, deletion or removal of the entry, object to the processing, or make a complaint. Send an email to [email protected]. Such requests are handled under the privacy policy.
If the request concerns a company, I assess a request for removal on editorial criteria.
